Safety at Rayne

Consent comes first

Consent must be informed, freely given, specific and reversible. A reply, match, private album share or previous interaction is never permission for sexual content, recording, redistribution or an in-person meeting. Rayne’s rules are there to protect a no, a boundary and silence.

Identity verification

Rayne’s planned registration includes verification to discourage fake and underage accounts. A verified status means the person completed Rayne’s current checks. It is not an endorsement or a guarantee of identity, intentions, health statements or behaviour.

Location privacy

Nearby uses device location to order profiles by closeness. Rayne shows approximate distance, not another member’s raw coordinates. Members can control whether their distance is visible, and location permissions can be withdrawn through the device.

Private media

Private albums, timed media and unsend controls reduce visibility inside Rayne, but cannot prevent screenshots, screen recording, copying by a recipient, moderation review, legal preservation, completed delivery or temporary backup retention. Share only what you trust the recipient to receive.

Reporting and blocking

Use Block when you want contact to stop. Use Report when an account, message or item of media may break Rayne’s rules. Reports can be reviewed alongside relevant content and account context so any action is proportionate.

Moderation and appeals

Rayne may use automated safety signals and trained reviewers. Depending on severity and context, action can include reduced visibility, content removal, a warning, suspension, a ban, evidence preservation or contact with relevant authorities. Where appropriate, affected members receive a reason and an appeal route.

Meeting more safely

• Get to know someone before sharing personal details.
• Meet in a public place and arrange your own transport.
• Tell someone you trust where you are going and when you expect to return.
• Do not rely on verification or self-reported health information as a guarantee.
• Leave if something feels wrong and contact emergency services where there is immediate danger.
